About Richard

While living in Florida my wife and I decided to save a greyhound who was 2 years old and starting to slow down at races. They are very shy dogs, but one came over to stand with us. We said we want this one. We named her Butterscotch (her color) and for the next nine years we gave and received love. When we arrived back to our home we went around the back so she could do her business. We then opened the screened door to our pool. Butterscotch had never seen a pool and proceeded to walk on the water. She went down to the bottom, I jumped in but she was able to swim to the top as I helped her out. It was some experience for the both of us. We had a great loving relationship with her until cancer took Butterscotch from us. 30 years have passed and we still miss her.
