I have worked with students and adults with special needs, on and off, for the last 10 years. Previously, I was working as a part time caretaker for a young man with autism. I have taught music and drama to students at a local, recently closed, LLC for students with special needs, and when I taught public school theatre, I taught a theatre class for special needs students. Students with any kind of need are near and dear to my heart. I believe we all have needs, some are just more visible than others, but there's nothing wrong with that :) I have worked with students on the autism spectrum, down syndrome, MD, non-verbal, handicap and more.
