About Richard

I have been an RN for several decades, the first 20 years in emergency medicine. Since the mid 90's I have had various hospice roles, from After-hours Care Coordinator to RN Case Manager during and after the Covid crisis. I've learned that regardless what role I am in, empathy, compassion and patience are essential. I have very strong problem solving skills and adapt to most any situation with the ability to focus on the primary patient needs at the moment. I was the primary caregiver when my mother was on hospice, so know both sides of the caregiving experience. I have had many patients in assisted living and memory care settings and work well in collaboration with facilities, group homes and other providers.
