About Ria

Hello!! My name's Ria, and I'm a full-time journalist in New York City. I'm also extremely passionate about early childhood development, with expertise in caring for infants, toddlers, and young children. I have a compassion-first approach to child care, love hugs, and would love to help you and your family out on weekends, date nights, and Monday/Friday when I'm working from home. :) I'd describe my personality as empathetic, soft spoken, and bubbly! I like working with kids because they reflect the best parts of us--as adults, we are entirely responsible for shaping kids into strong and independent children and teenagers. Kids are also one of our most vulnerable populations, and we have to approach them with compassion and understanding. In my spare time, I like to read, write, take walks around Brooklyn, and watch Broadway musicals. :) My skills include teaching self-soothing techniques, helping with homework, and engaging activities.
