About Reyna

A caretaker who became family: Rena cared for my mother during the last year of her life, and I will never be able to thank her enough. She brought skill and diligence to the work, but what set her apart was the love she brought with it. She was patient on the hard days, attentive to details no one asked her to notice, and consistently went beyond what the role required of her, not because it was expected, but because that is simply who she is. My mother was comfortable, dignified, and cherished at the end of her life. That was Reyna’s doing. Knowing that my mother was in her hands allowed our family to be present with her rather than consumed by worry. Somewhere along the way, Reyna stopped being my mother’s caretaker and became a member of our family. She still is. I remain in close contact with Reyna, and I expect I always will. Anyone fortunate enough to have Reyna care for someone they love should know they are in extraordinarily good hands.
