Hello! I am a blessed mother of five. My family and I value kindness, patience, loyalty and honesty! We love to play, sing, dance, crafts, go on outings and essentially just have a good time. The care that I provide reflects my family lifestyle. I have a passion for teaching and learning new things. I love to read. I am a care provider with a lot of experience. I worked for Newport News public schools for 15+ years with children of all ages and special education. Also, I dedicated my summers with parks and recreation for over 15 years as a counselor. We did arts and craft, took the children on fields trips, etc.

Resse embodies compassion and a can-do attitude. She is kind and endlessly cheerful. She is confident, works hard, and will care for your loved one like he or she is a treasured part of her own family. A couple of years ago, I was desperate to find help for my dad. I did not know exactly what I needed, where to turn, or who to trust. After not so great interview experiences, I was very cautious when I reached out to Resse. She responded immediately and radiated warmth and reassurance which instantly set me at ease. My dad liked Resse as soon as he met her and always looked forward to her visits. She took care of anything we needed, and if she had to take time off, she made sure someone safe and trusted was there to take her place. I did not have to worry about finding a backup person. She was responsible for my dad’s medicine and always made sure he had something to eat. She helped him with laundry and organizing the chaotic garage and house so there were minimal tripping hazards. She would tell me when he was running low on something and shopped for groceries. She took him to appointments and out to lunch. She would alert me if she observed any changes in him or if there were health concerns. As his needs increased, Resse helped with bathing and dressing and tried hard to preserve as much of his independence and dignity as she could. Recently my dad moved into an assisted living facility closer to me and as devastated as I was, I think Resse took it even harder. She checks in to see how he’s doing and calls him to say hello. She continues to help me with the house. Resse is invaluable and my dad and I would have not survived these last few years without her.
