About Renee

I'd describe my personality as outgoing, bubbly, carefree! I like working with kids because they bring me joy, and they keep me on my toes! I'm looking for a job that is steady, but that feels more like being your village. I started working with kids when I was pregnant with my first son - I worked with a nanny agency in Colorado and then for a family with 2 boys. I took some art education courses in college, then worked as a preschool teacher for 2 years. I stopped because I prefer being able to offer more intentional care. In my spare time I enjoy reading, knitting, and ice skating (although that's been more of a dream since moving to Tucson). One thing you should know: I am also a mom who has no backup childcare. I know this won't work for everyone, but my kids have to come with me 50% of the time- but it works well! My kids are friendly and helpful. I have an 11-year-old and a 4-year-old, both boys. My skills include crafting, nurturing, and being silly!
