About Renee

I'm a reading interventionist in KCPS. I primarily work with K-6th grade students on foundational skills (phonological awareness, and phonics, high frequency words). I'm Lexia LETRS certified (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling). I've successfully helped students quickly bridge learning gaps to meet grade-level reading goals. While I primarily focus on foundational skills, I also include some vocabulary and comprehension work in my lessons. You can expect to see a variety of instructional methods and activities designed specifically for your child's needs. If you're looking for a summer reading tutor, I'd be happy to help!
