Renee served as the nanny for my then not quite two-year-old twin boys. She was with us from October 2011 through July 2013. She terminated service when my children and I left the Pittsburgh area and moved back to Maryland. Renee started off as a nanny but soon became an extension of our family. She cared for my boys (and my school-aged daughter) like they were her own children. As a single-mother her help was invaluable to me! She was so good with the kids that this summer,a full year after she stopped working for us, I asked her to travel with us on a family vacation. She joined us and it was like no time had passed. The kids absolutely ADORE her and were excited to spend a few days with her this summer! Renee is very nurturing with children. She encouraged the kids to be kids. She scheduled play time and art time with the boys. Though she was fun to be with, she was never afraid to set limits with my children. She totally respected my wishes when it came to their nap schedule, meal-times, etc. As far as the children were concerned, there was no difference when "Aunt Renee" was caring for them versus when I was caring for them. This created great continuity for the children and made my life so much easier! Renee is extremely conscientious. She's incredibly punctual and reliable. I don't think she ever missed a day of work in nearly two years! She was only late once that I can think of (and she called me early that morning to let me know what was going on). Renee would be an asset to any family that was lucky enough to find her!
