I am currently an in-home supportive services care provider for my severely mentally and physically disabled sister and have been doing so for approximately five years now. I provide non-medical care and entertainment for her on a regular basis. In conjunction with the experience I have with caring for my sister, I also have worked at a special needs camp for two summers as a Camp Counselor. I provided 24-hour care for campers between the ages of 8 and 65 with different disabilities. I have also worked for a pediatric disabilities daycare center, I was a program assistant at an extended schooling program for adults with disabilities, and for the last several years, I have provided respite services for several different families with children who are disabled.
