I am a single mother of a 17-year-old son, diagnosed with full autism at age 2 1/2. I have been his care giver since he was born very prematurely in 1999. Which during the first 4 years of his life, I was also helping him with breathing treatments for his lungs, and giving feedings through a G-tube. He was also diagnosed with Epilepsy at age 4. I worked with special needs students 3-4 years prior to my son being born, at Sylvan Union School district in Midesto CA, as a paraprofessional. 3 years ago I was working as a co teacher with 4th and 5th grade regular ED students at Walden School of Liberal Arts in Provo, Utah.
