About Renee

I recently moved to Austin after working as a College Art Professor. Before teaching, I worked in computer animation. My experience with children began at age 14 babysitting and since I have worked with infants through teens, coached girls' volleyball teams, led creative workshops and private art tutoring. I love getting to know each child and finding out what captures their imagination. I'm happiest when I can join in whether we're making up games & stories, creating art, getting outside, or exploring something they're curious about. As an educator, I pay attention to how children learn and play at different ages. I enjoy helping each child try something new while letting their personality and interests lead. I'm pursuing a graduate degree in social work with a focus on children and families. Friends describe me as warm, dependable, outgoing, playful and always there to lend an extra hand.
