I've been working with elderly residents since I was 17 I started off caring for a family member and then I later on moved on to officially work in a facility with elderly residents where I stayed for 2 years working along side independent , Alzheimer's and dementia patients I later on moved on to another facility which was closer to home only working with patients in memory care I enjoy being able to care for elderly patients because I like to make new connections and being able to spend time with them can allow me to learn things and connect with them and I enjoy helping others in need small act like listening, helping with daily tasks, and offering reassurance can significantly improve an older person's quality of life.
