Hi families! My name is Ree, and I love caring for the children in my life. I am taking a semester off from college and would love to devote my time to serving families through nannying. Experience (5 yrs) - Teacher's Aide at La Petite Academy (6 ECE units) - Regular babysitter - Volunteer in church childcare - Volunteer at children's events as face painter, coach and activity facilitator Nannying/babysitting is more than a job to me. My childcare philosophy is central to my work, and I am always aiming to educate myself further to improve it. My values are characterised by respect, developmental awareness, responsibility and safety. I treat the children in my care with dignity and awareness of developmentally appropriate behaviour. While caring for your children, I will also care for your home. Safety is also important to me, so I am on track to CPR and First-Aid certification once funding is complete. Ree is the best babysitter for our kiddos and she is a genuine joy to be around - a sweet and calming presence. There are a couple things that stand out as apparent: 1) Ree takes each commitment seriously, she treats each babysitting gig like one would consistent employment. She communicates professionally and transparently. 2) Ree loves kids! She is present with them, keeps them as safe as she can, and mindful of the age of the child and their needs. Our boys are also excited to see her! We are blessed by Ree and the peace of mind we get when leaving her with our kiddos. I have noticed that she is proficient in using discernment of when to reach out with a question or need vs. knowing when she doesn’t need to. She practices problem solving well. Lastly, she doesn’t expect everything to go perfectly. For example: our boys have had some bedtime struggles, she remains firm in boundaries according to our direction but loving and gentle always.
