About Reed

Hello! My name is Reed, and I'm a recent UC Berkeley graduate with a strong background in childcare, youth education, and swim instruction. I began working in childcare at the YMCA during the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting children in a learning pod while schools were virtual. I facilitated online classes, helped with homework, and created engaging, structured activities. This experience helped me develop strong teaching and behavioral support skills, especially while working with neurodivergent children. I am patient, attentive, and committed to helping each child feel seen and supported. I am CPR and AED certified, a certified lifeguard, and a certified swim instructor. I've taught swim lessons at the YMCA and my local country club for children from toddlers to pre-teens, and I'm happy to incorporate lessons into my care. Whenever I returned home from college, I continued working in childcare because I genuinely enjoy helping kids grow in safe, fun, and nurturing environments.
