I have 10+ years working as a nanny, caring for newborns and toddlers. I have experience working as a one on one and classroom aide in Special Education, teaching art, and working as an early childhood classroom teacher. I have an undergraduate degree in Fine Art and am Waldorf Early Childhood Teacher Trained. I work part time as a caregiver and am a working artist here in Buffalo, I make figurative sculpture and dolls. I sew, knit, felt and work in clay. I love to teach these skills to children. Becca has been with our family since July 2025, caring for our son, who was 6 months old when she started, and our daughter, who was 4. They are now 1 and 5, and we cannot say enough good things about her. Becca is reliable, trustworthy, warm, and wonderful with children. She keeps our kids engaged with crafts, brings books from the library, walks, baking, and creative play. She has a calm, kind presence and our kids adore her. We hope to continue working with her and highly recommend her. I wanted to add an update to my original review. After we gave Becca two months’ notice that our childcare needs would be changing, she became upset and ended the position abruptly. We had hoped to finish the transition on good terms and give her plenty of time to find another role, so the sudden ending was disappointing. While we were grateful for the care she provided during her time with us, I would want other families to be aware of how the position ultimately ended.
