I have 10+ years working as a nanny, caring for newborns and toddlers. I have experience working as a one on one and classroom aide in Special Education, teaching art, and working as an early childhood classroom teacher. I have an undergraduate degree in Fine Art and am Waldorf Early Childhood Teacher Trained. I work part time as a caregiver and am a working artist here in Buffalo, I make figurative sculpture and dolls. I sew, knit, felt and work in clay. I love to teach these skills to children. We had the pleasure of working with Becca for a one-time babysitting engagement while visiting Buffalo for a family wedding, and she was amazing! From the moment we met her, Becca brought a calm, easygoing energy that immediately put our 15-month-old son at ease. She spent the afternoon with our family before the event—joining us for lunch, walking him around, and feeding him—which helped build instant trust and comfort. Becca cared for him throughout the wedding day and evening, including during the ceremony and stretches of the reception. She was flexible with our plans (which were a bit unpredictable!), communicated clearly, and even sent photo updates so we could relax knowing he was happy and in good hands. If we lived in the same city, we’d hire Becca regularly without hesitation. Her background and values in music, art, nature, and learning make her such a thoughtful, enriching presence for any child. We can’t recommend her highly enough—any family who works with Becca will be very lucky!
