I have found that I really enjoy working with the elderly and have a lot of patience with them. It is so fulfilling. I spent one year as an overnight caregiver for an elderly woman with Parkinson's disease. I provided companionship and assisted her with walking, changing, and preparing for bed. I also assisted her with the bathroom overnight. She needed a lot of reassurance. Occasionally I provided full weekend respite care for a stroke victim who needed help with meals, bathing, companionship and reassurance. My greatest experience comes from family caregiving. I spent 6 years helping with my father-in-law. He had vascular dementia . That is where I got experience with a Hoyer lift. The last 3 years I cared for my father who had Lewy Body Dementia. This gave me experience with one person transfers. I am CPR certified.

Becky has been incredibly helpful in caring for my grandparents. Despite them both being extremely skeptical, and denying of letting anybody in the house to help them, they tell me all the time how grateful they are that we found her. My gramps compares her to an angel. They can be stubborn when it comes to accepting care but she has been patient and kind in providing the supports they are comfortable with. She also maintains excellent communication with our family and provides updates on their condition which means a lot to us when we are 1,500 miles away from them during the winter months. Becky has experience with senior care and it shows in how she handles their many memory, mobility, and medical conditions. She has been a huge help in recommending additional care and even supported getting the hospice program set up so my grandmother can get additional support. My grandparents love Becky and we are very grateful for her support while we are away from them. We highly recommend you meet with Becky if you need help with senior care.
