I grew up in a special needs-friendly home-my mother worked in a home for disabled children, and I spent many Saturdays there as a child. She later became a foster parent to children with physical and emotional needs, and I helped care for them regularly. I have hands-on experience with children with autism, cerebral palsy, OCD, brain injuries, and attachment disorders. I've always had a strong ability to connect with children, even those who are non-verbal. I'm a calm, dependable caregiver who uses humor to build trust. I'm attentive to medical and behavioral plans and always follow them carefully. I'm also healthy, active, and love spending time outside with kids.
