I grew up in an environment which was very special needs friendly. My mother worked in a home for disabled children and I would spend my Saturday's there as a child. I loved it! She later became a foster parent for special needs children, both physically and emotionally. I would babysit for her all the time, in fact I still do. I have hands on experience with children who have cerebral palsy, OCD, attachment disorder, autism and brain injury, just to name a few. I feel like I have always been able to hear a child's voice even if they are non verbal. I am a calm caregiver who uses humor as often as I can with children. I would follow all behavioral and medical plans that you may have. I am healthy and active and would enjoy spending time outside with your child.
