Experience: 6 yrs
I find great joy and wonder in watching a child's unique personality unfold during the first year of life. With 20+ years of experience as an educator and 7+ years as a parent, I have found my passion lies in caring for infants. As a Lead Infant Teacher in a Montessori preschool, I cared for nine infants (ages 3-16 months) and helped develop the school's first Infant Program based on best practices in birth-to-two care. I am now transitioning from group care to individualized, child-centered nanny care, where I can build strong relationships with children and families while supporting each infant's development at their own pace. My training includes Pediatric CPR, SIDS prevention, the RIE Foundations Course, as well as NC licensed care protocols. I value secure attachment, responsive caregiving, and creating opportunities for exploration and discovery. Favorite activities include outdoor time, music, sensory play, and thoughtfully prepared materials that spark curiosity.
It is difficult to put into words just how much Rebecca has meant to our family. She cared for our daughter from the time she was six months old until she was fifteen months old—a period filled with so many milestones, discoveries, and growth—and we could not have asked for a more loving, dedicated caregiver. Rebecca is one of those rare people who pours her whole heart into caring for children. She is patient, kind, thoughtful, and deeply attuned to each child's individual needs. From the very beginning, we felt complete trust in her, knowing that our daughter was not only safe and cared for, but genuinely loved. As a Montessori teacher, Rebecca naturally incorporates Montessori principles into her caregiving. She thoughtfully creates opportunities for independence, exploration, and learning, while always following the child's lead. We watched our daughter gain confidence, curiosity, and new skills under Rebecca's guidance, and it was clear that every activity and interaction was intentional and meaningful. Beyond her professional skills, what sets Rebecca apart is the warmth and joy she brings to her work. She celebrated our daughter's accomplishments, comforted her through difficult moments, and built a relationship with her that was rooted in trust and respect. Rebecca became an important part of our daughter's early years and our family's life. Any family would be incredibly fortunate to have Rebecca as their nanny. We are endlessly grateful for the love, care, and dedication she gave our daughter, and we recommend her with complete confidence and our highest praise.
