About Rebecca

I have known Becky for nearly 4 years now. She is kind, honest, trustworthy, responsible, and a dedicated animal lover. Becky and I first met when she rented an apartment from me while living in Hawaii, but we also became friends, and I came to trust her to care for my beloved cats on countless occasions over the years. She is one of the best tenants that I have ever had, as well as the best caretaker I have ever been fortunate enough to have looking after my kitties and home. To provide a little background, I d like to mention that I have volunteered as an adoption coordinator for a no-kill animal rescue for the past 6 years, and I take animal care and welfare very, very seriously. I do not trust and approve just anyone to adopt from our shelter, and I am equally careful about who I trust to take care of my own (numerous) cats. I have trusted Becky to do both during the time that I have known her. Becky adopted all 3 of her own cats (Copper, Todd, and Chloe) from rescues, 2 of them through me. She is calm, gentle, loving and patient with animals. In fact, one of her 3 cats (Chloe) started as a foster that needed to be socialized before she could be considered adoptable. Becky worked patiently and tirelessly to gain Chloe s trust, and today she is a happy and loving kitty thanks to Becky s work with her. In addition to fostering, Becky also showed her dedication to animals by volunteering at the animal shelter as her scheduled allowed, cleaning and caring for the cats there. Over the years, Becky has been my kitty/house-sitting life saver whenever I traveled (which was often). Thanks to my years volunteering for a rescue, I have more cats than the average person, which often makes it difficult to find someone who is able to appropriately care for my cats and my home when I m away it s a lot of work, and the cats demand a lot of attention. Becky always did a wonderful job taking care of everything, whether I was gone for a couple of days or a couple of weeks. I never worried when I knew Becky was looking after things, because she always did a truly great job, and I knew that I would come home to happy cats and well-cared-for house. I hate that Becky has moved to the East Coast and I no longer have my wonderful tenant, kitty sitter, and friend here in Hawaii. Anyone who selects Becky to take care of their own animals and/or home will be lucky indeed!
