About Rebecca

I earned my math PhD in June 2026, and I love how math can be used to model just about anything in life! I'd describe my personality as excited, thoughtful, and hardworking. I like tutoring because I love learning from new people while I assist in empowering them to succeed in math. I started tutoring when I was an undergraduate math student, working as a supplemental instructor. I was so inspired by the student's work ethic, and I loved learning about their interests and life goals. In my spare time, I like to go to the movies and hike with my dog. One thing you should know about me is that math has not always been easy for me. I struggled with some math classes, but I loved math so much, that it was worthwhile to learn and improve! I am able to understand students who struggle with grasping mathematical concepts. My skills include enthusiasm, attention to detail, and patience.
