I'm a licensed child psychologist looking for part time work after a recent move to NYC from LA. Yeah, you heard that right, a child psychologist wants to be your nanny/sitter. I have years of experience providing therapy to kids and teens, but I truly miss engaging with youth in a sitter setting. I don't plan to be working full-time in my field again until 2026. I've been taking care of kiddos of all ages since I was 18. I'm fun and easy-going but able to put a gentle foot down when I need to. I love being in nature and doing crafts the most. I'm compassionate and skilled at working with kids with various developmental and mental health needs, such as autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, anxiety, and emotional or behavioral issues. I take a very positive/gentle-parenting approach that is informed by developmental science. I am openly and proudly queer, and it's important that I work with an affirming family. Willing to do a lower rate for families with LGBTQ caregivers or children.
