About Simrat

I have a strong background in education through my time at Kumon, where I tutored children of all ages in math and reading. This role helped me build skills in lesson planning, patience, and fostering a love for learning in children. During this time, I also gained valuable experience working with children with disabilities and those who struggled with focus and attention, developing creative strategies to keep them engaged and motivated. I'm currently pursuing my master's degree in Cybersecurity at the University of Maryland while also co-running a family-owned diner and bar in the Martinsburg area. Balancing academics, business management, and community engagement has strengthened my organization, communication, and multitasking skills-all of which I bring into my work with children. Whether it's tutoring or childcare, I strive to make every interaction meaningful and positive for both the children and their families.
