About Raquel

Raquel has been a nanny in our home twice - this second time as more of a house manager now that the children are older. She is a lifesaver to have in a home with two working parents! She is kind and loving, very dedicated to doing a good job and caring for the children like they are her own. She drives them to and from activities, helps with homework, prepares healthy meals and snacks, does their laundry, makes sure they do their chores, oversees hygiene and proactively gets them out and about to parks, the zoo, libraries, etc. Raquel is responsible, demonstrates good judgement, and goes out of her way to make connections with the kids and engage them and give them support unique to each child’s needs. She is so much fun and they had a blast playing the day a way when she was our nanny before. Though they are older now, she is always ready to play games, be outside, do crafts, pretend - she encourages them to be creative and find activities they enjoy. She is very patient while also firm, especially important with one of my sons who can be quite difficult, and she makes sure they are demonstrating kindness and respect. We have very good communication, and she does a good job knowing when there is something to bring to my attention that we can need to talk about together and when she can use her best judgement. She is a gem and will take wonderful care of your children while also looking for ways to make your working parent life a little easier.
