Hi my name is Raquel. I have a passion for helping the elderly. I was the primary caregiver for my grandma for a few years when she developed cancer and dementia before she passed. I was a caregiver for a 73-year-old woman who was diabetic and had mild dementia. I provided her with transportation to doctor appointments, grocery shopping and any errands she needed to get done. I worked with her for 2 1/2 years until they moved. Seeing how happy this patient was when I cared for her was such a rewarding feeling. I also worked as a Medical Assistant in an Internal Medicine office for 6 years and our patient population were seniors. I have several years of working with the elderly and would like to assist you. I can provide companion care, assistance with medication, meal preparation, light housekeeping, running errands and transportation.
