About Rafael

Hi, I'm Rafa! I'm originally from Miami, Florida, and I bring over four years of experience as a sleepaway camp counselor, caring for children ages 6-17. My role included not only full-time supervision, but also teaching a variety of activities such as sports, photography, sailing, kayaking, and outdoor adventures. In addition to group settings, I have experience with individual care--including helping raise my younger brother--so I'm comfortable supporting children one-on-one. I'm fluent in Spanish and hold a degree in Psychology, which means I'm more than happy to assist with schoolwork and homework in a patient and engaging way. I also love to cook and am passionate about food and nutrition, so meal prep is something I enjoy. In my free time, I'm a runner and a writer, and I bring that same energy and creativity into working with kids. I'd love the chance to provide reliable, caring, and fun support for your family!
