About Rae

I am a creative, fun, animal-friendly, active, vaccinated, and degreed educator with over 20 years of teaching experience, and four plus years of professional nanny experience. I have been with my current family since March of 2019, taking care of two girls who were 20 months and 3 years old respectively when I started. I live in Oakland, but am open to positions in San Francisco, Berkeley, Piedmont, Oakland. I have worked with children from infancy to early adulthood and am fully cognizant of the ages and stages of development from birth-14, through school curricula, experience, and continued readings. By generating an atmosphere of mutual respect, trust, providing comfort, and laughter, I aim to help create happy life-long learners that bloom and bear fruit for themselves, their family, and their community. I am described as flexible, creative, fun and trusting. My hobbies include creating art, children's literature, healthy cooking, hiking, festivals, and exploring nature
