She and her partner came and gave me a quote, saying it would take them 6 hours to clean, and a price. When they arrived, she told me it was 3 hours a piece, not 6 hours each, but only 3 hours each. I agreed since I needed my house cleaned and they were already there. After 8 hours of cleaning, in which I cleaned my entire bedroom, refrigerator, and most of the living room, she had only cleaned about half of the house…and it wasn’t really that unclean. In 8 hours she cleaned the master bathroom, another full bathroom that is barely used, and a half bath. The window, ceiling fan, and mirror in one bedroom. Only the ceiling fan in the master bedroom, and a ceiling fan, window, and light dusting in the third bedroom. Then cleaned some walls in hallways, vacuumed, and cleaned cupboards in the kitchen. That’s it, in 8 hours. I estimate with the work I did, and half the house she didn’t get to, it would have been at least, another 5-6 hours. Thus the 6 hours quoted would have taken her 14 hours on the conservative side. I think she just gave a low quote to get the job.
