I am a NYS certified, progressive/respectful early childhood educator looking to open my bubble for one family or one learning pod starting in September. I am in the process of completing my Master's in Special Education, and hold current certification in CPR/First Aid. I have 18 years of full-time classroom teaching experience with toddlers to K/1, and over 20 years of sitting/nannying and informal child care experience. I am comfortable with all ages and aspects of child care including preparing meals, bathing, toilet training, child-focused clean up, and bed time routines and so much more!

Rachel is amazing with children! She cared for my three sons during their preschool years, including when my youngest was a newborn. I could trust her completely in my home and with my children. Rachel is very experienced and once she knows your family's routines she will handle anything you need--she helped with our after school pick-ups and playing at the park, library trips and more. At home she did stories, art, pretend play, prepped meals and fed my kids, gave baths and put the boys the bed. Of all the sitters we have had (many!), Rachel stands out for the way she understands kids and engages with them in a kind and genuine way. She talked Star Wars with my older son while playing cars on the floor with the younger. She really listens to children and loves seeing the world through their eyes. With her, they make many fun discoveries! Our schedules changed and we no longer needed Rachel's help but any family would be very lucky to have her.
