About Rachel

I enjoy working with children because I believe everyone brings something to the table, and I love watching them grow up. I'm looking for a job that treats me like an adult with a brain (haha), and with that respect you will undoubtedly receive my hard work, good attitude, and respect right in return. I started working with kids in high school - I'm now 23 and have worked as a camp counselor, coach, or tutor position every year/summer since then. I have a very open and loving personality - as someone who was bullied when I was a child, all I want is to give the unconditional support and love that I didn't get at those difficult ages. That being said, I also refuse to be an enabler of bad behavior. I think gentle parenting is an amazing tool if done correctly and there are still consequences (never physical though) for their bad behavior. My top 3 skills would have to include time management, creativity, and empathy, and I'd describe my personality as ambitious, bubbly, and smart.
