About Rachel

Hi! My name is Rachel, and I have just relocated to Cornelius, NC. I adore children and pets of all kind! I am relocating from Austin, TX where I spent the last 10 years in big tech - I worked at Google for 6 years, Deloitte for 2, and have a Masters Degree! I am pivoting in life in every area right now and have a desire to work more purposefully for who I am rather than who I thought I had to be. I grew up babysitting, I'm the oldest daughter and cousin in my family too! My perspective as to why I find childcare fulfilling is that being around kids makes me feel at peace (ironic right?) - but they're the one group of people who hasn't been tainted by society. I love the innocence and silliness that kids bring to my life! I love to play. I love to cook. I love sports! I grew up playing soccer, softball and basketball. I am a light hearted person, and want to find happiness in my day to day life and career. I know myself well enough to know childcare would bring me the upmost joy!
