Hello! My name is Rachel & I've been working with children for the last 15+ years through various jobs. I have coached soccer, taught swimming lessons, and nannied for kiddos of all ages! I was a 4th & 5th grade teacher for four years and have a Master's Degree in education. I left the classroom almost three years ago & now work remotely as a project manager. I love kids (and miss working with them!) I love all the typical mountain activities and would love to play outside with your kids! I enjoy skiing, running, hiking with my sog, camping/backpacking, & am hoping to try mountain biking next year!! I worked with a family for the past three years in Denver, babysitting 1-2x per week for date nights and other as needed events. I am new to the valley and am looking to connect with a new family! I hired on care.com and have been working with her on and off for 3 years. Rachel is above and beyond wonderful. Her experience as a 4th grade teacher immediately gave me confidence in her abilities to handle my two toddler girls. Rachel has calm and confident energy, she can be very playful with the kids, while also calmly maintaining healthy boundaries (which my kids are always pushing lol). Rachel became a reliable and supportive pillar of our family. She speaks fluent Spanish and with her educator background, she could easily combine play with learning skills/language/etc. Rachel is very professional and kind. She was punctual (which has always been a big deal to me) and clear about scheduling. She did her best to be flexible, as our family has a wildly fluctuating schedule. Rachel was accommodating where and when she was able. I always appreciated her willingness to make basic meals for the kids and then sometimes do something more special like make-your-own-pizza night which my kids loved. Rachel was also helpful picking up after the kids. We miss Rachel and would hire her again in a heartbeat!
