About Rachel

I graduated from the University of Oklahoma in May of 2022 with a B. S. in Special Education. Following graduation, I worked as an elementary special education resource teacher full-time. I then worked as a pre-kindergarten teacher at a Reggio-Emilia inspired preschool for 2 years. This past school year I was a 5th grade special education collaborative teacher, focused on Reading/Language Arts and History, Dyslexia Intervention, and some executive functioning and behavior support. During my time teaching, I babysat and tutored on the side. This year, I decided to pivot from teaching into a full time nanny role. I am now prioritizing my move, while still tutoring and babysitting on the side. I love to create experiences for children that invites them to learn through play or interest-driven experiences, whether it's academics, critical thinking or problem-solving skills, or social/emotional learning.
