About Rachel

Hi! I'm Rachel, Mother of a 15yo daughter and professional Nanny since 2005. I have been very fortunate to have long term relationships with each of the families I've looked after! Are you the next fabulous family I can support? Ideally I'm looking to care for an infant or toddler close to West Hartford. My childcare beliefs: Live by The Golden Rule, model good manners, treat others with kindness, show empathy. Kids need to be read to often, spend plenty of time outdoors, have age appropriate sensory experiences, go on outings and have play dates. Open ended play is invaluable as it helps children understand their world, be creative, figure out how to problem solve. As your Nanny, it's my job to organize and facilitate those experiences. Quality sleep and nourishing food is a part of a balanced routine. Kids that are well rested and well fed are happier and can more fully engage with their world. I have sleep trained 6 stellar sleepers!
