About Rachel

Experience: 7 yrs

COVID-19 vaccinated

I'm HHA, CPR/First Aide certified, looking to become like a member of the family to whomever I'm providing care for. I have previous experience with personal care, hoyer lift/mobility, hospice care, light house-keeping/laundry, companionship, running errands, observing and communicating medical changes as well as plenty of experience working with memory care patients. I have live-in and extended shift experience. I am a very organized and clean person with a desire to work in an orderly space. I believe in creating a positive, caring and safe environment in which an older person can thrive as well as feel appreciated, regarded and important. I look forward to finding seniors I can build both a personable and professional relationship with in order to provide outstanding care. I enjoy walks, chatting, cooking meals and general conversation! Please note that I do have a significant amount of hoyer lift experience but I can't perform unassisted transfers on a regular basis. Thank you!

Rachel was a caretaker for our Dad for over a year. He suffered from Lewy body dementia and declined slowly under Rachel's care. Rachel was very kind and gentle with our Dad. She had to feed him, change him and moved him from bed to chair with a hoyer lift. Rachel would help my mom (a dialysis patient) with cooking and laundry. Rachel was considerate of our feelings and very easy to work with while taking care of our Dad. She was always prompt and would stay over if we needed her too. Rachel is no longer with us only because of our Dad passing. We would recommend her to care for your loved one.
