In 2010 I volunteered at a homework club, but from 2009 onward as a part of my high school American Sign Language class I would spend a few months out of the year spending time with children of deaf adults. The summer of 2012 and 2013 I got my first job working for The City of Fremont as a recreational aid. I planned the curriculum, led activities, and supervised the children. From 2012-2014 I worked at Children's Fairyland in Oakland. I enjoyed Fairyland because it was such a treat to be a part of brightening individual families days. In October 2014 I began working at my current job at Hortensia's Way preschool. I enjoy working at a preschool because I get to work with a variety of children and I get to not only see them grow up but play an integral part in seeing them grow and learn intellectually. I have six early childhood education units and I am certified in CPR and first aid.
