About Rachel

From 2009 onward I volunteered in different educational capacities to gain experience. The summer of 2012 and 2013 I landed my first job working for The City of Fremont as a recreational aid. I planned the curriculum, led activities, and supervised the children. Later, I worked at Children's Fairyland for almost two years. In October 2014 I began working at Hortensia's Way preschool, where I stayed for almost seven years. I enjoyed working at a preschool because I had the opportunity to work with a variety of children and I loved seeing them learn and grow. As a result of my years spent as a preschool assistant, I have experience developing and carrying out a curriculum, supervising and teaching children, as well as potty training and general play. I have nine early childhood education units and I have worked 4 years as a nanny, working with infants who have grown into toddlerhood. I have assisted with tummy time, solids, engagement and routines, as well as creating play spaces!
