About Rachel

I would describe myself as patient, honest, and hands-on. I was a classroom teacher for 15 years and also worked as a personal tutor. Although my certifications are no longer active, I was previously certified in ESL and Early Childhood/Elementary education, and I have taught multiple grade levels. I enjoy tutoring because I know how much it can change a child's confidence when something finally starts to make sense. My strength is helping students who are struggling, frustrated, or unsure of themselves. I don't just help with assignments - I help students understand what they are learning and how they learn best. I believe children learn best by doing, experiencing, and connecting lessons to real life. I also believe students learn better when they feel respected, valued, and heard. My goal is to meet each child where they are, build confidence, and remind them they are capable.
