About Rachel

Hello! I'm Rachel, and I'm looking to provide high quality child care and build relationships with children and families in the Burlington, VT area. I have 9+ years of experience working with children, including 5 years as a paid nanny, 2 years as an early childhood and preschool teacher at the Smithsonian Institute, and an additional 2 years of babysitting for a consistent roster of families. I have worked with children from 0-14, with a lot of experience in infant/toddler care. In terms of education, I have a Bachelors in psychology and elementary education, as well as a Master's of Education in Education Policy. In addition to providing direct care services, I have experience in early childhood policy and research. As a practitioner, I bring play-based, Reggio style experiences to my interactions with children and place a high value on building relationships, fostering curiosity, and nurturing the social-emotional needs of children.
