About Rachel

I have over 9 years of professional childcare experience and am also the oldest of 8 children, so caring for kids has always been a big part of my life. I specialize in long term care and have worked with families for many years at a time, including one family for 6 years and another for 4 years. I typically start with families when children are young and stay with them through important developmental stages, offering very flexible and reliable support until the youngest child enters school. My current nanny child will be starting kindergarten this coming school year (bittersweet!), which is why I'm looking to transition to a new family. I also have experience working in a preschool at a private school and run a two-week preschool summer camp each summer with a Waldorf inspired, play based approach. I am CPR and First Aid certified, open to relocating or living in-home, and truly love supporting children and families. I am excited to meet my new nanny family !

Rachel has been nannying my 3 kids full-time for the past 4.5 years. She is like another parent to them and has been with my youngest almost every day since she was 3 months old. She is equally good with newborns, babies, toddlers, and school-aged kids. I can't say enough good things about Rachel. She is excellent with children, flexible with her schedule, dependable, hard-working, safety-conscious, has great communication skills and is very organized. She helped home school my older 2 during the school closures and I could not have gotten through the past few years without her. Anyone would be lucky to hire Rachel and my kids are going to miss seeing her every day!
