About Rachel

My name is Rachel. I am recently retired from teaching for 30 years. I had the honor and privilege of taking care of my 96-year-old father before he passed away. I was able to offer him companionship, kindness, and love. We talked together and I loved listening to his amazing stories about his life. We watched television together and laughed together. I loved cooking for him, too. He liked to stay active in his mind and body, so we did light movement exercises and walked together at his own pace . He loved doing word puzzles and I would read to him about what was happening around the world. We enjoyed our time together. It meant so much to him and me to spend this time together and I'd like to offer this to someone else who needs care.
