About Rachel

Rachel was an angel sent to me to help with my dog through Palliative Care. I work full time and in the end he required full time care too. He had a tremendous amount of special needs to manage through a horrible cancer. He had a special diet that required preparing 3-5 fresh meals a day. Sometimes she prepped and fed him if I was working. Other times, she prepped all the food to make it easier when I fed him while she was not there. She walked him or let him out and watched him when needed, always reporting on how he did and if the stool changed, etc. She prepared all his medications. He was taking over 20 meds and supplements and she prepared them for me to administer several times each day. She would talk to him like her own and cuddle and pet him. At the very end his care was overwhelming, as he was bleeding almost non-stop. She helped keep everything clean; constantly washed and sanitized all the mats, sheets, bedding, floors and walls. . All the while she has such a wonderful disposition that cheered me and gave him peace. She even offered to come with me when it was time to peacefully transition him. She offered drive to allow me to sit in the back seat with him. She parked the car while we went inside the hospital. My sweet dog faced the door wagging his tail waiting for Rachel to come in. He wanted her there before we could proceed. She cooked his favorite chicken and it was such a gift! He loved nibbling that chicken all through getting the IVs in his leg. She made the most uncertain part of a pet transition a very comforting one. She stayed through the whole thing and was such a comfort to me transitioning past that day. I can not say enough good things about Rachel. She is truly an Angel!
