Experience: 3 yrs
Caring for my partner's grandmother during her journey with dementia transformed my perspective on life and deepened my commitment to supporting families. With three years of experience, I offer a professional, detail-oriented approach to senior care. I pride myself on taking the time to do things right, ensuring your loved ones feel supported and respected. I am skilled at redirecting attention during moments of confusion and adapting to changing routines with patience. I hold CPR Training and First Aid Training certifications. I am happy to assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands to make your daily life easier. I prioritize eatablishing and maintaining trust with the family as a whole, and will trust you with deciding the best communication method for your needs.
Rachel was an amazingly attentive and empathetic addition to the family. Originally she’d committed to taking on the care of my partner who suffers from Spinocerebellar Ataxia, a disability that left them blind and fully immobile, in need of constant changing, daily bathing and feedings, and LOTS of patience! Rachel quickly became part of the family. She was my first call when I needed help with my aging mom, and has helped out with the kiddos on many an occasion, too. I wish PA could keep her!
