Hi! I'm Rachel, I'm 24 and a graduate of Connecticut College. I have nannied and babysat for multiple families over the years. I have BLS (basic life support) certification. Additionally, have experience tutoring and babysitting kids ages 0-14. Rachel was fantastic with my 2 1/2 year old VERY energetic son! She showed up and within minutes was building blocks, reading books, and keeping up with him. She was able to navigate bedtime with ease!  She was incredibly professional, punctual, and all around a huge help!   

Rachel immediately showed up her first day and was part of the family.  She has an ease with children and a lovely demeanor with parents.  Our two boys had a blast and couldn’t wait for her to babysit again.  

Rachel is truly the ideal babysitter/caregiver and has been absolutely phenomenal with our 7-month-old (started with him when he was just 5 months). She completely put my nerves at ease the first time we met, and continues to impress me with her maturity and meticulousness. She is incredibly thoughtful, bubbly and sweet but so professional, and never without a smile - we are just so thankful we crossed paths with her! Thank you, Rachel.

Rachel is an absolute rock star.  We hired Rachel to watch our 2-year-old son on Mondays and Fridays regularly throughout the summer and on the occasional evenings when we had plans.  She was amazing with T.

Rachel always arrived at our home on time, ready to engage with our son, and with a plan for the day to keep him entertained in a positive and educational way. She has great experience with children of all ages, and is kind, compassionate, and intelligent. T. grew comfortable with her in no time and looked forward to seeing her every day.  She prepped his meals which were always healthy, and never once had him watching TV or on a device of any kind. 

She is without a doubt one of the best babysitters around.  We were devastated when she decided to relocate to New York as we would love nothing more than to still have her as a sitter.

Rachel was amazing - took care of my 2 grandchildren, a 2 year old explorer and his imaginative 4 year old sister. Not only was she goodnatured and reliable but she easily connected with both kids and they happily followed her encouragement and warnings.  I felt very comfortable with her watching them at home, on the beach or at the playground.  I would rehire instantly if I had a chance!

This summer, Rachel began babysitting our 1-year old and set the bar sky high. She worked with us for a few hours per day, a few days a week for the summer. From the minute she came over to the minute she left, Rachel engaged our daughter in all sorts of developmentally appropriate activities and fun educational games. Because of her background/interest in neuroscience and child development, she helped our daughter with language acquisition and milestones. In addition to reading books, playing games, and working on communication skills, Rachel incorporated our physical therapy goals each session. 

Rachel is fun, kind, and energetic, and she exercises impeccable judgment. She effortlessly created opportunities for our baby to explore and learn, providing a safe & supervised environment for these explorations. As an anxious new mom, Rachel's competence, comfort level, and knowledge were constantly reassuring. She was such a gift to our family, and I am so grateful for everything!

We hired Rachel as a part-time caregiver this summer for our three girls ages 3-7 and she was terrific.  The girls are still talking about how fun she was and asking when they can see her, again.  Rachel was professional, courteous, followed our instructions and did not hesitate to enthusiastically join our girls' imaginative games, bubbles and other summer fun.  We hope to be able to work with her again in the future.

Rachel was great!! She worked for my family (3 kids) several times this summer.  Always on time and ready to be with the kids.  The kids all loved being with her.  She took them to the beach and played with them at home.  She is an awesome babysitter.

We used Rachel this summer to watch our two children and she was wonderful.  The kids loved her and were very excited when she was coming back to babysit again.

Rachel was AWESOME! She helped us out with our almost 2 year old twins boys while we were on vacation. She was amazing with the boys and when we returned home they were happy/tucked into bed. She got the kids out of the house and kept them entertained despite not having access to all the toys we have at home. She's lovely, kind, great with kids and we look forward to having her help us out again next summer!

Rachel has been such a fantastic babysitter for us. Our kids (ages 2 and 6) absolutely love her. She has been on time, flexible, dependable, fun, and creative.
