About Rachel

Hi, my name is Rachel and I'm a 35-year-old Oakland native. Having kids isn't right for me, but I still adore them, and this is a way to have them in my life. I'm a writer and part-time editor who adores caring for infants. It's been my part-time job/joy since I was 18, and I have worked with over 8 infants and their families over the years. Why specialize in caring for infants? My reasons are manifold: I seem to have a way with them. I find them fascinating, enlivening, and downright adorable. They feed my energy, and I enjoy helping families through the transition of their first child. I also appreciate about babies that they don't carry illness as often as older kids, which makes this a more sustainable part-time job for me. I have references, infant CPR training, and considerable experience. I would love to meet your little one!
