Hi! I'm Miss Rachel. (No, not THAT one. Same enthusiasm for children, wayyyyy fewer YouTube subscribers, lots more sarcasm haha). With 15+ years of experience and degrees in psychology and human services, I've had the privilege of supporting children from infancy through adolescence including those with diverse medical, developmental, educational, behavioral, and neurodivergent needs. I'm not here to create Pinterest-perfect childhoods. I'm here for the real ones: kitchen dance parties, LEGO masterpieces, playground trips, cozy reset days, and every I DID IT ALL BY MYSELF! moment. I believe behavior is communication, confidence grows through independence, and every child deserves to feel seen, understood, accepted, and loved exactly as they are. If that sounds like your family, I'd love to meet you!
Rachel has been our nanny for more than five years and has done a good job. She is very reliable. She is a good communicator, which has made it easier to juggle our household’s complicated schedule. She is very flexible, and has adjusted with us as our kids have grown and our household needs have changed. When she started with us we had a newborn, a two-year-old and a 3.5-year old. Rachel was a good caretaker for them all, including the newborn, and we always felt confident that our kids would be safe and attended to with her. Now, our kids are five, seven and nine, and we still know they’ll be safe and cared for with Rachel, though of course her interactions with the kids have changed appropriately as they’ve aged. All of our kids really love Miss Rachel and are sad that she’ll be moving on. She has a cheery and fun personality that puts kids at ease. I’ll add that our oldest has ASD and requires some special care and understanding, and Rachel has always been good with that. Overall I highly recommend Rachel and am happy to provide more detail on request.
