I have many years experience working with seniors. I used to help out a lot with both of my grandmothers. I would help with household chores, driving to appointments, and as my one grandmother got closer to the end of her life (and lost her eyesight due to a stroke) I also helped her with things like getting to the bathroom and other personal care. I worked as an in home care giver for awhile as well. I worked overnight, helped with meals and reminders to take medication. I've lost all my grandparents and have a heart to work with seniors again.
