About Rachel

I have taken care of an elderly woman in her 80's who had dementia and Alzheimer's. I would go to her house, get her out of bed (or in bed depending on the shift), make sure she got dressed and would help if she needed assistance, made sure she ate a healthy meal, and helped administer medications. I would sometimes take her to church or to the grocery store and helped with running errands. I served as a companion to her. We would play cards, color, or do activities to keep her mind going. I do have a 2-year-old son now and it would be ideal I bring him with me. He seems to put a smile on everyone's face and I'd hope he would help bring happiness into the home(s) of the people I'm caring for.
