About Rachel

Rachel is an incredible caregiver! We were fortunate enough to have Rachel as our regular Thursday nanny for 2 years, watching 2 rambunctious toddler boys in a nanny share + my daughter during the summer and after preschool & eventually kindergarten. Rachel is a patient & calming presence in the home; my daughter has big emotions after long days at Montessori school & the toddlers were at the crankiest, most tantrum-prone age yet Rachel managed to keep them all calm and happy, comforting & redirecting them to productive activities & play when chaos started brewing. For work-from-home parents her ability to lower the temperature & keep everyone happy was amazing; it is hard to hear your kids struggling, having to wonder if their needs are being met. With Rachel that wasn’t a concern, they were clearly expertly & affectionately cared for. Also indicative of her adaptive & thoughtful approach to childcare: her adorably prepared snack art did wonders in getting our picky, distracted, food-refusing kids to actually eat & improve their late-day moods! My kids love Rachel & looked forward to seeing her every week. She is as reliable, communicative, warm, thoughtful, careful, & respectful of her client’s home as you could hope for as a parent, I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for senior or child care.
