About Rachel

I have always had a special place in my heart for children and I am a true educator! When I was in my teens, I would babysit for my neighbor's 7-year-old daughter. Following that experience, I worked as a camp counselor at VBS for two years. I was a nanny for an infant for a brief time before I returned to college. I attended Flagler College where I earned a degree in Elementary Education. Since graduating, I have taught third grade, first grade, kindergarten, and VPK. I left the classroom in 2023 after my husband passed away and I am looking to work with children again. I specialize in phonological awareness, literacy, fine motor skills, handwriting and more! I utilize play based learning methods, as I believe that children learn best when they are playing and having fun.
