About Rachel

I'd describe my personality as motivated, focused, and approachable. I like tutoring because I enjoy helping the next generation of learners succeed. I take pride in helping others translate thought process into problem solving not just to foster academic success, but also personal confidence. I'm looking for a job that enables me to educate and help students succeed while still being flexible. Respect for my person and time as well as proactive communication are key. I started tutoring as a teaching assistant in college in an engineering course for high school seniors. I enjoyed it so much that I became a TA during my Master's program in chemical engineering. I value communication and trust above all else. I will always communicate with clients and their families and ask for them to be honest about their needs in return. I foster an environment of confidence: the student's confidence in themselves and their confidence in my ability and in my personal integrity.
